A Chinese porcelain ginger jar of octagonal lobed form featuring a matching faceted lid. The body is decorated with vertical panels enclosing floral sprays of peonies and chrysanthemums executed in overglaze pink and green enamels. These panels alternate with circular underglaze blue Shou (longevity) medallions. The neck is bordered by an underglaze blue diamond-fret diaper band, while the shoulders and foot are decorated with scrolling floral motifs. The lid is surmounted by a central underglaze blue Shou character medallion surrounded by simplified floral sprigs. The base is recessed and glazed, showing a cool white tone with occasional iron spotting. The unglazed foot rim exhibits kiln grit and minor imperfections. There are no maker’s marks, signatures, or printed labels present on the piece.
