A three piece pressed glass centerpiece set of Art Deco design. The set comprises a central footed oval bowl and two removable trumpet shaped bud vase inserts. The bowl is constructed from clear flint glass with two integral circular sockets at the handles designed to receive the vase inserts. The body of the bowl features a repeating geometric pattern of embossed florets or stars enclosed within diamond shaped framing, finished with a scalloped piecrust rim. The bowl stands on a short stem with a circular stepped and domed foot. The two matching trumpet vases feature a finely textured diamond point or waffle pattern to the exterior and flared, scalloped rims. The bases of the vases are tapered to slot securely into the handles of the bowl. The base of the footed bowl is smooth and shows no evidence of a pontil mark, consistent with the mould pressed manufacturing process. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the three components.
