A pair of English blue and white transfer-printed earthenware items comprising a bulbous-bodied teapot and a rectangular serving dish. The teapot features a continuous landscape scene depicting a coastal or riverine view with mountains, classical buildings, and figures in the foreground. The upper body and domed lid are decorated with repeating borders of stylized acanthus leaf and foliate motifs. The lid is finished with a small circular knop, and the pot has a scrolled handle and a curved spout. The base of the teapot bears a blue printed mark depicting a figure in a horse-drawn chariot above the word CAULDON and ENGLAND.

The rectangular dish features the Abbey pattern, depicting an abbey or church ruin within a pastoral landscape. The scene is enclosed by a border of scrolled foliate and floral designs. The dish has a shaped, scalloped rim and fluted corners. The base of the dish displays a blue printed cartouche containing the text ABBEY and 1790. Below this cartouche is the printed mark ENGLAND and G. JONES and SONS.
