A matched pair of drop earrings crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. Each earring features a hollow, open teardrop-shaped frame suspended from a small gold bead stud. Within the centre of each frame hangs a solid, polished gold pendeloque or teardrop-shaped element, designed to move independently. The earrings are fitted with posts for pierced ears. The accompanying yellow butterfly friction backs appear to have small hallmarks, which are present but not clearly legible at this resolution. A handwritten white card tag identifies the gold purity with the numerical mark 375 and provides a weight.
