A pair of yellow metal lockets comprising a heart-shaped example and an oval example. The heart-shaped locket features chased floral decoration to the front face and a plain polished reverse. It is suspended from a fine link chain of matching yellow metal tone, fitted with a spring-ring clasp. The oval locket pendant is similarly decorated with chased floral motifs to the front and a polished reverse. The reverse of the oval locket is stamped 9CT BK-FT. The reverse of the heart locket is also stamped 9CT BK-FT. These marks indicate that the front and back plates of both lockets are made of 9 carat gold, while the interior components and hinges are constructed from base metal. The chain does not bear visible hallmarks.
