Lot 130:
An Assortment of Vintage Costume Jewellery, Enamel Badges, and a Hexagonal Trinket Box
Description
A collection of vintage costume jewellery and decorative items housed in a pink plastic case. The lot features an assortment of mid-to-late 20th-century fashion jewellery, including multiple strands of faux pearls in white and grey tones, several silver-tone and gold-tone chains, and various bangles and bracelets. Noteworthy pieces include a shell-carved cameo brooch set in a gold-tone frame, a large circular brooch featuring a white bird and floral motif on a dark red ground, and a silver-tone floral brooch embellished with clear rhinestones. Also included are a thick ribbed silver-tone band ring and a faceted clear glass pendant.
The collection contains two commemorative pins. One is a blue and white enamel brooch shaped as a cross with a central lion’s head emblem, bearing the text WOMEN’S SECTION THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION. The second is a silver-tone kilt-style pin in a dagger form, set with a faceted amber-coloured glass stone and three pale green cabochons.
Accompanying the jewellery is a small hexagonal trinket box constructed from silver-tone metal and glass. The glass lid is decorated with a centrally etched floral and foliate design, framed by a twisted rope-style metal border.
Materials: Base metals (silver-tone and gold-tone), enamel, glass, rhinestones, faux pearls, shell, and plastic.
