A Collection of Vintage British Breweriana and Distillery Advertising Ceramics
Description
An assortment of mid-20th-century British breweriana and distillery promotional ceramics. The group includes various glazed earthenware and stoneware items such as water jugs, ashtrays, tankards, and canisters. Featured brands and labels include Teacher’s Scotch Whisky, Watneys Maxim Light, Wells Bombardier, Bell’s, Sandeman, Bass, Booth’s Gin, and Worthington. Specific items include a black ceramic Sandeman Don figure, a burgundy-glazed Bell’s decanter, and a ceramic ashtray in the form of a crenellated castle turret attributed to Wade. Many items feature transfer-printed commercial logos and heraldic decoration.
