A Ward Brothers Sterling Silver Floral and Foliate Bar Brooch

A sterling silver bar brooch by the British manufacturer Ward Brothers, featuring an intricate floral and foliate design. The brooch is constructed with an openwork scrollwork frame, at the centre of which is a five-petal flower set with a circular faceted green stone, flanked by two large, textured, ribbed leaves. The tapered decorative terminals are each set with a single circular faceted stone, one of a blue hue and the other pale amber. The reverse of the brooch is stamped with the maker mark WBS within a rectangular cartouche and the words STERLING SILVER. It is fitted with a horizontal hinged pin and a revolving safety C-clasp.
