Description

A vintage 12-bar autoharp, attributed to a German maker such as Hopf or Musima based on the internal labelling. The instrument features a light-toned wooden soundboard and back with a black-finished chord bar housing and assembly. The twelve chord bars are labelled with German musical terminology including dur, moll, sept, and fis. To the right of the strings, an applied paper tuning guide displays a musical staff and numbering from 1 to 25, corresponding to the steel strings. A small gold-toned label is present on the soundboard beneath the chord bar frame but is not clearly legible. This lot includes the original cardboard storage box, a metal T-shaped tuning wrench, and a First Step instructional booklet titled How to play THE AUTOHARP 6, 9 and 12 Bar.
