Description

A glazed ceramic figurine produced by Wade Ceramics Ltd, depicting the character Toad from Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows. This piece was issued as an official release for the International Wade Collectors Club in 2000. The character is portrayed in his signature motoring attire, featuring a checked flat cap, goggles, a brown overcoat with a fleece-textured collar, a yellow plaid waistcoat, and driving gloves. He stands on a circular grey base with an embossed cobblestone pattern. The underside of the base is marked with the title The Wind in the Willows and the character name Toad in black script, alongside a copyright mark for EHS 2000 and the circular red and white backstamp for The Official International Wade Collectors Club. The item is accompanied by its original white cardboard packaging bearing the official club logo.
