A Wade NatWest Woody Piggy Bank
Description
A glazed ceramic money box manufactured by Wade for the National Westminster Bank. This figurine represents the character Woody, the smallest member of the NatWest pig family issued as a promotional collectible for children’s savings accounts in the 1980s. The character is depicted wearing a green shirt with black button details, blue trousers, and a blue flat cap. The base features the embossed marks WADE and ENGLAND in capital letters. The item retains its original black rubber stopper which is embossed with the NatWest name and the bank’s chevron logo.
