A Set of Three Graduated Guinness Advertising Toucan Wall Plaques Attributed to Carlton Ware

A set of three graduated Guinness advertising wall plaques attributed to Carlton Ware in the Toucan pattern, after the original designs by John Gilroy. Each plaque is crafted from glazed pottery and depicts a toucan in flight, rendered in a polychrome palette of black, white, yellow, orange, and red. The birds are shown carrying two pints of stout with creamy white foam heads balanced on their beaks.

On the largest and medium-sized plaques, the glasses are inscribed with the text MY GOODNESS on the left and GUINNESS on the right. On the smallest plaque, the left glass is inscribed MY GOODNESS and the right glass is inscribed MY GUINNESS. The upper wing of the largest plaque features hand-painted white characters, which include the letter M and other partially legible markings. No manufacturer backstamps are visible on the front of the plaques.
