Description

This lot features a 1977 Royal Mint silver proof crown struck to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is composed of sterling silver and is housed in its original protective capsule and blue presentation box, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The obverse depicts the Queen on horseback with the inscription ELIZABETH II DG REG FD 1977, and the reverse shows the coronation ampulla and spoon within a floral border. The collection also contains a group of various commemorative crown pieces in plastic flips and folders. Included are 1977 Silver Jubilee crowns, a 1980 Queen Mother 80th Birthday crown in a National Westminster Bank folder, commemorative pieces from Williams and Glyn’s Bank dated August 4th 1980, and a 1972 Silver Wedding anniversary crown.
