A Collection of Bank of England Banknotes, Various Series, UK

This collection of banknotes issued by the Bank of England consists of several denominations and series. The group includes two Series C green £1 notes featuring Britannia, signed by P. S. Beale (serial numbers A86J 236813 and H89C 640410). Also included is a Series D red 10-shilling note signed by J. S. Fforde (serial B75N 122050) and a Series D blue £1 note signed by D. H. F. Somerset (serial BY44 818069). Two paper £5 notes are present: a Series D note featuring the Duke of Wellington (serial SB38 511380) and a Series E note featuring George Stephenson (serial B87 483155), both signed by G. M. Gill. The collection is completed by a Series G polymer £5 note featuring Sir Winston Churchill on the reverse and Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, signed by Victoria Cleland (serial AJ12 186006).
