A Collection of Vintage British Advertising and Household Collectibles

A diverse collection of mid-20th-century British advertising items and domestic wares. The group includes a Lurpak ceramic toast rack featuring the Douglas butter man character, with blue transfer-printed LURPAK text and a crown logo to the base. An orange and black cylindrical Sainsbury’s Instant Coffee tin is present, featuring the text 100% PURE. A large rectangular clear glass Sanatogen storage jar features embossed lettering and a circular metal screw-top lid. The lot also contains a clear glass pitcher with blue printed Senior Service cigarette advertising including the word Satisfy. A circular tin tray for Pimm’s No. 1 Cup is decorated with playing card motifs and cocktail illustrations. The collection further comprises an original cardboard box for a battery-operated Rand Liquid Mixer No. 2, a plastic milk delivery indicator dial with a red pointer, and a chocolate-brown glazed ceramic item with an embossed Cadbury logo. A light blue ceramic mug features a transfer-printed illustration of the character Uriah Heep from David Copperfield. Two small circular lids or pots are included, one for Burgess’s Genuine Anchovy Paste and another for Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste from Plymouth.
