A Collection of Vintage Personal Accessories and Trinket Boxes including a Japanese Style Embossed Metal Box and Opera Glasses

A collection of vintage and antique personal items comprising a decorative metal trinket box, a musical jewellery box, opera glasses, and assorted accessories. The metal box is of rectangular form, constructed from a silver-toned white metal, possibly silver-plated or pewter. The lid is heavily embossed with a dense pattern of chrysanthemum flowers, while the sides feature relief scenes of birds amongst foliage, characteristic of Japanese export style. The interior is lined with light blue silk or satin and contains the handwritten names STUBBS and Collin in black ink to the lid lining. The musical jewellery box features an off-white painted exterior decorated with hand-painted coastal landscape scenes and buildings. The interior is lined with pink corduroy and contains a small plastic ballerina figure on a spring mechanism and an inset mirror. The pair of opera glasses features cream-coloured barrels, possibly celluloid, with a brass-toned metal frame and a central focusing wheel. They are accompanied by a black leather carrying case. Additional items include two pairs of scissors, one with ornate embossed scrollwork handles and one with brass-coloured handles, and two decorative kilt-style pins, one featuring a multi-coloured feather fan and the other an animal hair brush, both with silver-toned mounts. The collection also includes a small number of sundries such as safety pins and a green circular 3d token.
