A Trio of Sterling Silver and Derbyshire Blue John Jewellery Pieces

A sterling silver jewellery set comprising a pendant necklace and a pair of matching drop earrings. Each piece is set with an oval cabochon of Derbyshire Blue John, a variety of fluorite displaying characteristic purple, yellow, and cream banding. The pendant is suspended from a sterling silver curb link chain via a tapered bail. The earrings are designed for pierced ears with post and butterfly scroll backs. The side of the pendant mount is stamped with a set of hallmarks including an illegible maker’s mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, a date letter possibly being a u or v, and a 925 fineness mark.
