A Collection of British Military Cold War NBC Protective Equipment and Individual Protection Kits
Description
A collection of British military Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) protective equipment dating from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. The group includes a Smock Protective N.B.C. No.1 Mk.3, Trousers Protective N.B.C. No.1 Mk.3, a pair of Overboots N.B.C. No.1 Mk.2, and several Individual Protection Kits. The smock and trousers are size Large, manufactured by Remploy Ltd, and bear labels dated April 1975. Both garments are marked with the British military Broad Arrow pheon symbol and have National Stock Numbers 8415-99-132-3501 and 8415-99-132-3506 respectively. The pair of Overboots N.B.C. No.1 Mk.2, NSN 8430-99-136-0772, are labelled as packed in June 1978 and feature a stylized bp manufacturer logo. The Individual Protection Kits, NSN 8465-99-120-6227, are marked Remploy Ltd and dated 1984, also featuring the Broad Arrow mark. All items are housed in their original military-issue factory-sealed plastic packaging, either clear or olive drab.
