UK Masonic Red Cross of Constantine Founder Member Jewel, Gilt Metal
Description
A gilt-metal and enamel breast jewel for a founder member of the Lux St. Helena Conclave No. 485, part of the Masonic Order of the Red Cross of Constantine. The piece comprises a gilt suspension bar containing a white enamel insert with the inscription FOUNDER MEMBER. It is suspended from a purple grosgrain ribbon. The circular medallion features a central white enamel disc with a red enamel cross flory, with the letters I, H, S, and V in the arms. The outer border is inscribed LUX ST. HELENA CONCLAVE NO. 485. The reverse of the pendant is plain with a textured gilt finish. The suspension bar is fitted with a pin and catch fastening.
