Description

A collection of vintage British automobilia items comprising a vehicle tax disc holder with an original paper disc and four assorted keys on metal rings. The tax disc is for a Vespa scooter registered in Devon with the registration number 773 BNY. It specifies the vehicle class as a bicycle and shows an expiry date of April 1969. The disc was issued for a twelve-month period at a cost of 2 pounds 10 shillings. The metal tax disc holder is of a circular design with a single-bolt mounting bracket. The group of keys includes two keys for the Automobile Association (AA) embossed with the organisation’s interlaced logo and property markings, which were typically used for members to access roadside telephone boxes. One key is embossed with a rampant lion logo and the text SIMMS – LONDON – S.W.4, identifying it as a product of Simms Motor Units Ltd, a known manufacturer of British automotive electrical components. The final key is a plain steel design without markings.
