A Trio of Wade Heath Flaxman Art Deco Earthenware Posy Baskets and Bowl

This group of three decorative earthenware items is from the Flaxman range by Wade Heath. The collection consists of two posy baskets featuring high arched handles and ruffled rims, alongside a single small circular bowl. All three pieces are finished with a mottled sponged glaze in a variegated palette of sea-green, ochre, and cream tones. The bases of all items bear a printed backstamp with the word FLAXMAN above WADE, HEATH, and ENGLAND. The two baskets also feature the model number 248 impressed into the clay body. Wade Heath was a British pottery firm based in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, active under this name during the mid-20th century.
