A contemporary 18 carat white gold necklace comprising a diamond-set pendant on a fine chain. The pendant features a central octagonal cluster of baguette and square-cut diamonds, expertly set to create the illusion of a single large emerald-cut stone. This central composite is surrounded by a halo of small round brilliant-cut diamonds. The fixed bail is also set with a row of small round brilliant-cut diamonds. The pendant is suspended from a white gold chain of flat curb link design, which is secured by a lobster claw clasp. The reverse of the pendant is stamped with the characters LDD and 750 in rectangular frames, with a third small circular mark present but illegible. The side of the bail is stamped D 1.18 and 750. The chain end link is stamped 750 and with the maker mark 1092 AR within a hexagonal frame, indicating manufacture in Arezzo, Italy, with the reverse stamped ITALY. The lever of the lobster clasp is stamped 750.
