A Collection of Alan Rickman Film Memorabilia and Promotional Ephemera

This lot comprises a collection of film memorabilia and promotional ephemera primarily relating to the career of the British actor Alan Rickman. The collection includes two landscape promotional posters for the 1999 film Galaxy Quest, localised for the German market with the title Galaxy Quest – Planlos durchs Weltall and bearing DreamWorks Pictures and UIP logos. There is a German-language promotional brochure for the 2006 film Das Parfum – Die Geschichte eines Mörders (Perfume: The Story of a Murderer), which lists cast members including Ben Whishaw, Alan Rickman, Rachel Hurd-Wood, and Dustin Hoffman. A group of sixteen 35mm transparency slides for the 1995 film Sense and Sensibility is included, each mounted in a white plastic frame printed with the title Sinn und Sinnlichkeit, Columbia Tri-Star, and the German theatrical release date 7.3.96. The photographic material consists of a large colour portrait headshot, a still of Rickman in character as Colonel Brandon on horseback, a promotional photograph for the 1999 film Dogma, and several candid and press event images, including a composite sheet and a full-length interior photograph.
