A Pair of Late 20th Century Decorative Porcelain Angel Dolls
Description
A pair of decorative angel dolls of varying sizes, likely intended for seasonal display or as tree toppers. Both figures feature bisque or matte-finished porcelain heads and hands with painted facial features. The bodies are constructed from wire or fabric armatures dressed in white textile garments including satin, lace, and silver-toned decorative trim. The larger angel features curly blonde hair adorned with a beaded tiara and wears a floor-length white gown with silver lace overlays and a silver-wrapped cord sash. The smaller angel features blonde hair with feather and bead accents, wearing a knee-length white dress with lace trim and mounted on a white circular plastic display stand. Both figures are fitted with wings composed of white feathers on a structured base. No maker’s marks, factory backstamps, or model numbers are visible on either piece. The dolls are in the style of mass-produced collectible figurines from the late 20th century, such as those by the Heritage Signature Collection or Cathay Collection. The smaller figure retains a pink heart-shaped tag attached to the left wrist.
