A Collection of Vintage Hardwood Textile Bobbins with Metal Ferrules

An assortment of approximately 35 vintage industrial textile bobbins, also known as loom pirns. These items are crafted from turned hardwood and feature protective metal ferrules at both ends, designed to prevent splitting during high-speed industrial use. The bobbins are characterised by a tapered cylindrical shape, specific to automated loom machinery. One piece in the group retains a small fragment of red thread. There are no maker’s marks, stamps, or inscriptions visible on the surfaces of these items.
