Description

A collection of vintage costume jewellery dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The lot features an assortment of pieces including necklaces, brooches, and hair ornaments. The necklaces comprise a gold-tone snake chain with a central V-shaped element set with clear and black rhinestones, a gold-tone chain featuring pink resin floral stations and a central drop with three pendant elements, and a fine gold-tone chain with small frosted blue glass beads and a central yellowish bead. The brooches include a circular openwork design with a multi-coloured enamelled lily on a gold-tone frame, a large floral-form piece set with faceted marquise and round-cut purple and pink glass stones, a silver-tone feather-shaped brooch pavé-set with clear rhinestones, a circular openwork floral brooch in silver-tone metal accented with turquoise-coloured cabochons, a silver-tone floral spray brooch with a central faux pearl and textured leaves, a small silver-tone leaf-shaped brooch with rhinestone accents, and a small enamelled blue flower pin with a green stem. The hair ornaments consist of two gold-tone barrettes, one with clustered faux pearls and one with an interlocking floral motif. Materials used across the collection include gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, enamel, faceted glass and plastic stones, rhinestones, faux pearls, and resin. No maker marks or signatures are visible. The styles are typical of Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency costume jewellery.
