A Pair of Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Shell Motif Cufflinks

This pair of Danish sterling silver cufflinks was manufactured by the silversmith Georg Jensen. Each cufflink features a stylised shell motif, consisting of two layered scallop-like forms with radiating fluted ridges. The design features patinated recesses to enhance the depth of the fluting. The cufflinks are constructed with a curved bridge and a hinged swivel toggle back mechanism. The reverse of the bridge is stamped with the Georg Jensen dotted oval mark, introduced in 1945, and is also marked with the design number 13, STERLING, and DENMARK.
