Description

Two pieces of mid-20th-century green pressed glass. The vibrant, translucent green colour is characteristic of uranium glass, which typically contains uranium oxide and is known for its bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet light.

The lot includes a posy vase featuring a flared, fluted body supported by a distinctive tripod base. Each foot of the base displays a stepped, geometric design in the Art Deco style. This form is consistent with 1930s production from British manufacturers such as Bagley or Davidson, as well as Bohemian glassworks of the period.

The second item is a shallow dish with a heavily crimped and scalloped rim. The interior is decorated with a central molded sunburst motif and radiating ribs.

No maker marks, signatures, or pattern numbers are visible on the base or body of either item.
