A Collection of UK Philatelic Numismatic Covers and Commemorative Five Pound Coins

A collection of commemorative philatelic numismatic covers (PNCs) jointly issued by the Royal Mail and the Royal Mint. Each item consists of a commemorative coin or medal mounted within an illustrated presentation envelope, accompanied by themed postage stamps and official postmarks. The subjects represented include the Millennium Moment (MCMXCIX/MM), the Restoration of the Monarchy, the 2004 Entente Cordiale centenary, Winston Churchill (1874-1965), the Queen Mother’s centenary (Four Royal Generations), HM Queen Elizabeth II Longest Reigning Monarch, and the 2011 Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The coins are predominantly five pound crowns struck in cupro-nickel or gold-plated base metal. Several covers feature printed limited edition serial numbers including No 03323, No 09719, No 05784, No 04717, and No 34325. Each cover includes descriptive historical text on the reverse.
