UK c.1940 Royal Masonic Hospital Jewel, Sterling Silver
Description
A Royal Masonic Hospital Vice Patron jewel, typically struck in sterling silver. The piece features a central oval medallion depicting a classical scene of a draped female figure attending to a seated male patient, flanked by banners bearing the Latin motto AEGROS SANAT HUMANITAS. The medallion is suspended from a blue silk ribbon with a light blue central stripe. The suspension bar is formed of a five-pointed star containing an intertwined RMH monogram for the Royal Masonic Hospital. The item is housed in its original blue hinged presentation case with a white fabric-lined interior. Accompanied by a printed compliment card from the Secretary and House Governor.
