Lot 103:
A Set of Cut Crystal Stemware Glasses in a Traditional Diamond and Fan Pattern
Description
A set of cut crystal glasses, likely intended for serving sherry or small measures of wine. Each glass features a conical bowl decorated with a traditional diamond and fan pattern, comprising a lower band of cross-hatched diamond cuts surmounted by a series of radiating fan-like incisions. The bowls are supported by stems with a faceted central knop, terminating in plain, circular feet. While no maker’s marks or signatures are visible in the provided image, the design is highly characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century lead crystal production, closely resembling well-known patterns such as Lismore by Waterford Crystal or similar designs from Stuart or Webb Corbett.
Height approximately 10 cm – 12 cm.
