An Art Deco Style Sterling Silver Engine-Turned Handbag Ballpoint Pen with Tassel

A retractable ballpoint pen of slim proportions, constructed from sterling silver. The cylindrical barrel is decorated with a fine engine-turned barleycorn pattern, featuring a small, smooth longitudinal panel. The barrel is stamped with the mark STERLING SILVER. The writing instrument employs a push-button retraction mechanism at the top. A small jump ring is integrated into the push-button, which currently holds an attached purple textile tassel. The design is consistent with mid-20th-century ladies handbag or chatelaine pens.
