Two mid-century ceramic table lamp bases, including a Denby stoneware example

The glaze is a mottled mustard-yellow and brown, and the piece is mounted on a dark brown stoneware foot. The base bears the impressed marks DENBY and MADE IN ENGLAND. It is fitted with a metal bulb holder on a stem and a white two-core power cable. The second is an unattributed modernist ovoid or teardrop-shaped ceramic lamp base.
