A set of ceramic tea service items, likely porcelain or fine earthenware, decorated in a Chinoiserie or Japanese export style. The collection comprises a lidded teapot with a high-arched split handle, a lidded sugar bowl with a pointed finial, a milk jug, and several teacups and saucers. The decoration depicts a colourful long-tailed bird, possibly a pheasant, amongst flowering peonies and branches. The design is rendered with transfer-printed outlines and hand-painted overglaze enamel highlights in a palette of orange, purple, yellow, and green, accented with gilded detailing to the rims. No factory marks or backstamps are visible on the pieces.
