A Collection of Victorian Pressed Glass Tableware
Description
A collection of clear pressed glass tableware items featuring various geometric patterns such as hobstars, radiating fans, and diamond-cut motifs. The group includes a tall stemmed tazza with a faceted foot and serrated rim, a large deep bowl supported on three scroll feet, and a smaller bowl fitted with a removable silver-tone metal wire flower frog. The assortment also contains a circular lidded jar, a small tripod dish, and a pair of matching salt shakers with integral glass tops. One piece displays a moulded British diamond registration mark to the base, with codes indicating a design registration date of 11 February 1851. These items are manufactured from clear glass, moulded to emulate the appearance of traditional hand-cut crystal.
