A Middle Eastern or North African circular brass tray-top table. The charger is constructed from hand-chased and engraved brass, featuring a series of concentric decorative bands. These bands are densely populated with traditional motifs, including foliate arabesques, geometric borders, and zoomorphic elements. Interspersed within the decoration are several bands of Arabic calligraphic script. The tray sits upon a separate, folding dark hardwood stand with a six-legged frame design joined by cross-stretchers. The stand is embellished with panels of turned-bead lattice work in the mashrabiya style.
