A pair of archaistic Chinese style table lamps, fashioned in the Hollywood Regency taste and resembling the work of James Mont. The bases are constructed from cast metal with a dark, patinated finish, modeled after the archaic Chinese fanghu vessel form. Each lamp features a square-sectioned, tapering body decorated in relief with traditional motifs, including stylized taotie masks to the central bulbous section, bands of scrolling dragons, and cicada-leaf patterns to the neck. The bases stand upon integral stepped, square plinths with openwork scroll decoration. The lamps are fitted with tall, cylindrical drum shades featuring a textured, metallic gold-tone exterior finish. The electrical components consist of white flex and UK three-pin plugs.
