This lot consists of two rustic wooden walking sticks of traditional design. The first is a shorter cane crafted from a knotty wood, reminiscent of Irish blackthorn, featuring a hand-carved handle shaped like an animal head, possibly a dog or hound. The carving shows naturalistic details and is integrated into the crook of the branch. The second item is a longer, straighter staff with a natural bark finish throughout the shaft. It features a light-coloured cap at the handle end and a dark ferrule at the tip. Both items exhibit a naturalistic, folk-art aesthetic and are constructed from native hardwoods.
