The exterior body is decorated with three-dimensional applied pink lilies and elongated green leaves, with a fine gold-gilt band applied to the foot. The interior contains a suspended white porcelain teardrop-shaped clapper on a metal wire and bears a printed black inscription to the rim reading THE / BLUE ARGUS / by, followed by the signature Brian Hargreaves and © 1984 FP.
