The reverse features the inscription FOR CAMPAIGN SERVICE surmounted by a St Edward’s Crown, all enclosed within a wreath of oak leaves. The silver clasp is inscribed in block capitals MALAY PENINSULA. The medal is suspended from its original green ribbon with a central purple stripe. The rim of the medal is officially impressed in block capitals 14191262 S.SGT J C GLYNN RE, identifying the recipient as Staff Sergeant J. C. Glynn of the Royal Engineers. The medal is accompanied by its original white cardboard box of issue, which bears a black printed St Edward’s Crown on the lid. An associated handwritten collector’s tag is also present.
