An antique micro mosaic brooch in a lozenge or diamond form, featuring a central raised panel. The design depicts a polychrome floral posy at the centre, surrounded by a border of scrolling and floral motifs. The composition is executed with small, multi-coloured glass tesserae in shades of white, yellow, red, blue, and green, set into a dark backing material. The mosaic is housed in a yellow-tone metal frame, likely brass, with a rope-twist border and a decorative wirework mount. The reverse shows a simple hinged pin and a C-clasp mechanism. The pin extends significantly beyond the frame of the brooch. A small rectangular stamped mark is present on the reverse, consisting of the capital letters CD in relief.
