This lot comprises two purple gemstone rings. The first is a marcasite and faceted gemstone cocktail ring. It features a central faceted oval-shaped purple gemstone held in a four-prong setting. The shoulders and band are decorated with three rows of small, rose-cut marcasite stones set into the textured metal. The inner shank bears marks that are present but not legible as a specific maker or purity grade. The second ring is a cabochon dress ring featuring a large, oval, high-domed purple gemstone in a bezel collet setting. The gemstone displays internal colour zoning characteristic of natural amethyst. The setting is mounted on a simple, narrow circular-section band. The underside of the cabochon setting shows a matte, textured metal finish.
