A cocktail ring featuring a dark blue oval-cut gemstone, likely a sapphire, set within a double-tier cluster of small round white gemstones. The central stone is held by four double-prongs. The surrounding white stones appear to be single-cut or rose-cut diamonds, mounted in a tiered basket setting. The ring is constructed with a yellow gold band and a white metal setting for the stones. The band features tapered shoulders. The interior of the shank bears impressed marks; however, these are too worn and blurred to be legible as a name or specific carat mark (photo 3).
