A group of five British campaign medals from the Second World War, comprising the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal, and the War Medal 1939-45. The stars are struck in bronze and the circular medals in cupro-nickel. The group is mounted in the correct order of wear with corresponding silk ribbons. The medals are presented in a gold-toned glazed frame with a black card mount, alongside a red fabric remembrance poppy and an original paper issue slip. The slip is printed with the header Campaign Stars, Clasps and Medals instituted in recognition of service in the war of 1939-45 and includes a red-inked stamp reading NUMBER OF STARS, MEDALS, CLASPS or EMBLEMS ENCLOSED with a handwritten 5. As is standard for Second World War campaign medals issued to British personnel, the medals are unnamed.
