A collection of four vintage 9ct gold back and front lockets of varying shapes and sizes. The group consists of two heart-shaped and two oval pendants. The large heart locket is decorated with hand-engraved foliate and scroll motifs to the front panel, while the reverse is plain polished metal; it is stamped on the reverse with the characters 9CT B&F. The smaller heart locket features an engraved floral spray to the front and a plain reverse, bearing the stamped marks 9CT and BK-FT. The first oval locket is decorated with a geometric engine-turned pattern surrounding a central oval cartouche, with a plain reverse stamped 9CT and BK-FT. The second oval locket is diagonally divided on the front, with one half featuring engraved foliate scrolls and the other half plain; it is complete with a suspension jump ring and is stamped on the reverse 9CT BK-FT. These marks signify that the front and back panels are 9ct gold, while the internal frames and hinges are constructed from base metal for durability.
