A collection of English salt-glazed stoneware advertising flagons of varying sizes. Each vessel is constructed in a two-tone Bristol-style glaze, featuring a brown ferruginous dipped shoulder and neck over a buff cylindrical body. The flagons are of standard cylindrical form with sloping shoulders and a single loop handle attached to the neck and shoulder. One flagon includes an original cork stopper. Several pieces bear impressed advertising marks for regional wine and spirit merchants. One flagon is impressed with characters reading 1030 / A. LEADBITTER / WINE & SPIRIT MERCHANT / WYCOMBE. Another flagon is impressed with characters reading 488 / WYLD & Co / Bridge / BRISTOL. A third flagon is impressed with characters reading 25 / DAFFORN & SON / STAMFORD. One further flagon bears a partially legible impressed mark ending in the word MELTON. The remaining flagons in the collection are either unmarked or have markings positioned away from view.
