An assortment of British military and civilian service memorabilia and fraternal items from the mid-20th century. The lot includes a silver civilian service badge for the Air Raid Precautions (ARP) service, in the form of a shield surmounted by a King’s Crown and embossed with the letters ARP. A Royal Air Force (RAF) sweetheart brooch features a central motif with gilt wings and a blue enamel circle reading RAF under a red enamel King’s Crown, set upon a circular mother-of-pearl disc. Included is a circular brass lapel badge with a blue enamel ground depicting a silvered eagle in flight beneath a King’s Crown, fitted with a suspension lug at the top. The collection includes a two-medal ribbon bar with a pin-back fastener, showing the ribbons for the 1939-45 Star and the Defence Medal. Also present is a pair of chain-link cufflinks for the Ancient Order of Froth Blowers fraternal organisation; the links are rectangular with blue enamel borders and white enamel centres inscribed AOF and B. A long metal decorative pin with a handle formed of three interlocking wire loops completes the assortment.
