A collection of domestic stoneware items, likely of British manufacture, dating from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century. The group comprises a large salt-glazed crock with two lug handles, finished in a dark brown glaze and featuring a broad central band of impressed basketweave or cross-hatched decoration. A two-tone cylindrical jar has a mustard-tan glazed rim and shoulder over a cream-coloured body. A further dark brown salt-glazed jar of cylindrical form is decorated with a central band of impressed wavy lines. A decorative agate-ware jar features a marbled glaze with swirled patterns in shades of green, cream and brown. A brown-glazed stoneware bottle with a tapered shoulder and narrow neck retains a partial paper label; the top line reads LIN in a large font, followed by worn characters, while smaller text below includes the fragments A, l, l…, j, o, b…, T, h, e, s, e…, and T, h…. The remaining label text is illegible. The collection also includes two buff-coloured stoneware flagons of varying heights, one of which includes a stopper. Two stoneware bed warmers complete the lot: one is a flat-sided upright form with a small top neck, and the other is a horizontal cylindrical form with a flat base, featuring a brown screw-top stopper and a small brown knob handle at the opposite end. No other impressed maker’s stamps or capacity markings are visible on the pieces.
