A small decorative ceramic decanter with a bulbous body, single loop handle, and flared rim. The upper portion of the body, handle, and a spherical stopper are finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze, which contrasts with the cream-coloured glaze on the lower section. The vessel is decorated with two transfer-printed game bird scenes. One side shows a standing pheasant in a naturalistic landscape with a bare tree and the printed word PHEASANT. The other side shows a partridge amongst vegetation with the printed word PARTRIDGE. No marks, stamps, or labels identifying a manufacturer are visible on the exterior of the piece.
