A pair of mid-20th century baby dolls constructed from moulded hard plastic. The pair consists of one dark-toned doll and one light-toned doll. The dark-toned doll features moulded and painted black hair, fixed painted eyes, and painted red lips. It is designed with five-point articulation at the neck, shoulders, and hips. The reverse of the head and torso shows no visible manufacturer marks. The light-toned doll features moulded and painted reddish-brown hair, sleep eyes with plastic eyelashes, and an open mouth. It also possesses five-point articulation. The back of the torso is pierced with a circular arrangement of sixteen holes for an internal crier mechanism. An embossed mark is present on the upper back area, but the characters are not clearly legible and cannot be transcribed. Both dolls are presented undressed.
